We opened The Beech House in St Albans because we’re passionate about neighbourhood pubs. The kind that sell fresh food and a great pint. Where you feel completely at home. Where you can pop in when it suits you. After work, before work, to do work. To catch up with the family, or to impress a date. For your favourite coffee or a cheeky cocktail. The choice is broad as well as bold; from your full-English fry up to super food salad, authentic Italian Esposito pizza to a perfectly grilled steak. Just the way you like it. Nibbles, sharers, roasts and proper home comforts; fresh and sustainable, cooked in an open kitchen. It’s our house and we’d love you to feel that it’s yours too.

Oakman Inns & Restaurants was founded in 2005. Our vision was to create an environment where like-mined people could come and enjoy some great food and drinks whilst catching up with friends, family, neighbours and colleagues.
We quickly won a place in the hearts and minds of local people through our support of local sports teams and community events. Then we started winning awards too. Today we work hard to replicate this recipe in each and every new pub that we open.
